Ralph Everett Kelley, age 87, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Ralph was born in Laconia, New Hampshire in 1933. During his high school years he attended the exclusive Brooklyn Technical High School. In 1955 he graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. After a few odd jobs he went on to work for Chicago Bridge and Iron for over 30 years. He loved being outside and staying active, and enjoyed lacrosse, golf, and bowling, and later took up birdwatching.
During his retirement he pursued his interest in genealogy, spending countless hours keeping his large extended family's descendant list current and organizing twice yearly family letters. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, and granddaughter, took up jogging, and worked in his garden caring for his many plants.
He will be remembered as a strong, yet kind man who was well respected by those who knew him. And also as a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 57 years Dorothy, daughters: Nancy Durden, Barbara Stephens and her husband John, grandchild: Madison Stephens, sister: Marjorie Sudyk, two nieces, a nephew, and a large extended family.
