On March 20, 2022, Ralph (Ed) Edgar Brewer went home to be with the Lord. Ed passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side.

Ed was born November 22, 1941, in Lansing Michigan. He was one of 7 children born to Ralph and Mary (Butler) Brewer. Ed graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing as the City Champion in High Hurdles. He went on to Western Michigan University (WMU) to run track and achieved a Degree in Insurance with a concentration in Business Law.

On 09/01/1962, while at WMU, he married Donna McKrill.  They began a family shortly thereafter and moved to Van Wert, Ohio where Ed started his career.

Ed's career was primarily in the field of Human Resources. He worked for Central Mutual Insurance Company, Dotco, Cooper Industries, Anadarko Petroleum, Rapha Treatment Centers, PremierCare and finished his 50-year career with University General Health Systems - Behavioral Health, as Chief Administrative Officer.

Ed is survived by his wife, Donna, sons Greg Brewer & wife Jill Williams Brewer, Wade & wife Marcia Brewer, and daughter Edye & husband Greg Giordano.  Ed was proud "Grandpa Brewer" to grandchildren, Allison Williams, Natalie Williams, Lindsey Brewer, Julia & husband Augustus Billingsley, Rachel Brewer, Adam Giordano, and Ryan Giordano.

Ed was a private man that loved family and friends.  He demonstrated an unwavering faith in God and lived that throughout his life.  He loved a good joke and typically had three or four at the ready if the opportunity presented itself.   His sense of humor and his calm demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Ed will take place at Champion Forest Baptist Church Chapel on April 1 ^st , 2022 at 11:00 am.  Champions Campus 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd. Houston, TX 77069. A modest reception at the church will follow the service.
