Preston Alan Blue, beloved son, brother, and friend, was taken from us at age 27, on August 19, 2017.

Preston was born on February 19, 1990, in Conroe, Texas. He lived in Houston.

Preston had a heart of gold. He never met a stranger. He had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh and feel at ease. To know him was to love him, and his laugh and his smile were truly a gift. Preston lived his short life to the fullest, enjoying each day loving his family, traveling, snowboarding, and fishing.

He is survived by his Mother and Best Friend Joyce Daugherty (Mike), Father Todd Blue, Sister Audra Blue-Penick (Bret), Step-Siblings Megan and Brent Daugherty, Grandma Janet Tittle, Grandpa Bob Tittle, Grandma Ann Blue, Grandpa Terry Blue, Girlfriend Courtney Mursell, God-Mother Auntie Clair Ashcroft-Paugh, Honorary Brother Clifford Ashcroft-Smith, and many other dear friends and relatives.

A celebration of Preston's life will be held, rain or shine, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488 Rd, Magnolia, TX 77354. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Houston Heights Chapter of the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children ( http://heightspomc-houstontx.org ).
