Phyllis Diane Dwarshus Thomas was called to her heavenly home May 14, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Phyllis was born July 21, 1938 in Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from W. B Ray High School and attended Del Mar Jr. College, both in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Ronald Thomas of 61 years.

During her lifetime she worked in a dental office, was a realtor, worked at Transcontinental Gas Pipeline in the Accounting Department. She was employed later by the Klein School District where she was an Aide to the Special Education students and was a consultant also for Merle Norman Cosmetics.

She fostered many children over the years that came to love her. She was a member of Champion Forest Baptist Church for many years where she was active in the Gideon's and various Sunday School classes. The love of her life was her tiny Chihuahua, "Miss Daisey". She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her brother, Albert George Dwarshus, Jr., wife Susan, of Fredericksburg, Texas, niece Kimberly Marie Rollie and husband, Jay, children Gage and Kate, nephew Chad Albert Dwarshus, and wife, Anna, children Carter and Kyle, niece Alixandrea Garcia Taylor serving her Country in Kuwait, and also a foster child, Jenifer Barrera of South Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be Thursday May 18, 2023, from 6:00-8:00PM, at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, Texas 77379; and the Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10:00AM, also at Klein Funeral Home.

Graveside service to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 1:30PM, located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
