Phillip Switzer

In loving memory of Phillip Dan Switzer, born December 9, 1946, in Thomas, Oklahoma. Phil passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Harry and Kathyrn Switzer, and his beautiful wife of 42 years, Sharon Wilder.

Phil was raised to be a true cowboy in Thomas, Oklahoma. He attended Thomas High School where he played football, marched in the band, and served as FFA President. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.

Phil and Sharon enjoyed a beautiful life together in Brenham, Texas, where they spent their retirement after living in Houston and Hockley. They worked together for many years in the home building and real estate industries. Phil was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and working the land. They shared their love for country living, horses, traveling, family and God. They will both be profoundly missed by their large extended family and the many friends who loved them.
