Phillip Lamar Johnson, age 77, of Spring, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 peacefully in his sleep.

Phillip was born to William and June Johnson on April 3, 1943 in Texarkana, Arkansas.  He graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1961 and attended Louisiana Tech University.  He worked for AMF Beard in Shreveport  prior to his employment with Delta Airlines.  His career at Delta Airlines spanned 38 years.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lynn T. Johnson, son, Phillip L. Johnson, Jr., grandson, Jason L. Johnson and wife Chelsea and great granddaughter, Renleigh Johnson in addition to other family members including nieces and nephews.

Phillip enjoyed military history, keeping up with development and advancements in aviation, and travel.  He was a patriotic supporter of our constitutional rights.  He and his wife traveled by land, sea and air visiting many of the world's great culture centers.

Services for Phillip will be on Saturday, September 12, 2020, 11 AM, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, Texas 77379.
