Philip Balatayo Ocon, 58, died peacefully in bed on October 21, 2022 in his home in Spring, Texas.
Philip was born on October 22, 1963 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol in The Philippines to Sabastian and Claudia Ocon. He graduated from Divine World High School and went on to study at The University of Bohol to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He practiced as a Registered Nurse for many years.
He married Maria Richelle Ocon on January 14, 1995 in Tagbilaran City. Shortly after they moved to Brooklyn, NY and then settled in Spring, TX. They would go on to raise two girls, Claudine Marie and Criselda Marie Ocon in Spring.
Philip was known to others as "The Life of The Party." He was a loving father and husband, devoted Catholic, and a caring friend. Those who know Philip know of his charismatic and carefree personality. In his free time he enjoyed caring for his many plants, traveling the world, and shopping at Neiman Marcus. His loyal Shih Tzu-Yorkie, Coco, goes wherever he goes. Philip will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Homes & Memorial on October 30, 2022 at 4pm-8pm. A Mass will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd on October 31, 2022 at 10am with a reception to follow.
