Obituary

Philip Wayne Fox, beloved husband, loving father, and grandfather passed away on July 3rd, 2022. Born in Jacksonville, Texas, Phil attended Polytechnic High School in Alto, Texas. Received a Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by:

  • Wife of 44 years, Graciela Fox
  • Daughters Elizabeth Fox-Steele, Susan Fox-Swank, and Kathleen Fox-Sanvictores were 'his greatest accomplishment as a human being'.
  • Sons-in-law Michael Steele, Eric Swank, and Adrian Sanvictores
  • Granddaughters Ashlyn, Lillian, and Hannah Steele, Ava and Anjelica Swank, and Ayla and Emmaline Sanvictores
  • Brother-in-law Frank Norwood
  • Nephews and Nieces: John and Leslie Norwood, Paul and Kim Norwood, Mary, and Matt Anderson, Kelly Bruton-Taylor, and Ryan Bruton
  • As well as many other dear friends in a very large extended family.

Phil's professional life included working as a pressure vessel designer, computer programmer, and beta testing computer hardware for Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard. Phil was a skilled carpenter who enjoyed building toys and children's furniture for his granddaughters as well as building remote-controlled model planes, and boats. He was a man of few words but his impact on his family and friends will live on in those who survive him.
