Peter Michael Vogel, 69 of Spring Texas died peacefully Oct.13, 2016 surrounded by his family after a courageous two year fight with cancer.

Born in Erie, PA. 1947 son of Karl E. Vogel and Rosa (Spillers) Vogel. He was raised in McKean Pa, graduated from Cathedral Prep High School and Penn State, Berhand Center Campus before relocating wth his family in 1968 to Hollis NH. He attended University of New Hampshire College of Engineering where he completed a BS and MS degree in mechanical and geophysical engineering.

His career in the oil industry included Gulf Oil Pittsburgh PA, and Tulsa OK, and Tenneco Lafayette LA. He was a founding partner in Newfield Exploration, Houston TX. and served as consultant to Arena Energy in The Woodlands where he retired from oil exploration in 2013.

His family includes wife, Melissa Daigle Vogel of Spring Tx., son, Michael P. Vogel of Huntsville Tx. Siblings include Karla E Vogel of Hollis NH, John S. Vogel of Ukiah, CA, and Gretchen V. Morin of Surry NH.

Special recognition is given to his caretakers Josh, Annie, and Victor who gave him much comfort during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, October 17, 2016 and funeral services at 7pm Monday at Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest. He will be buried in New Hampshire.
