Peter C. Ruelius Jr.

August 14 ^th 1928-March 27 ^th 2021

Peter was born and raised in New York City with his parents Peter and Elizabeth Ruelius and sister, Marianne. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Industrial Engineering. He was a graduate of New York University and Columbia University, also attended Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and taught industrial engineering at Pratt Institute.

Peter was a proud U.S. veteran in the U.S Army. He served in the Korean war  and the U.S Chemical Center. He had a lengthy and diverse career working in the food, toy and Machine industry as well as among others, Harley Davidson.

He met the love of his life, the kind and beautiful Mary Garde. They married October 8 ^th , 1960 and spent 54 years happily together until her passing in 2014. They both worked very hard and although they never had children, they were Aunt Mary and Uncle Peter to many children over the years.

One of Peter's favorite hobbies was taking pictures. He was a fabulous photographer and chronicled family events and memories from all their travels around the world.

Peter was a very intelligent man, but he also had a wicked sense of humor. He and Mary were always incredibly generous and kind to everyone in their lives.

He will be missed and mourned by his sister Marianne Albert, numerous nieces and nephews and also dear friends.

There will be a funeral Mass on Friday April 30 ^th at 11 a.m.
