Obituary

Peter Allen Braun?, longtime Houstonian, passed away peacefully surrounded by his  loving family after suffering a long illness.       Peter was born September 17, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Hubert J. Braun, Jr. and  Evelyn Catlin. He graduated from Loyola High School for Boys in New York City. He  continued his education at Fordham University earning a BS in Marketing and a MBA  from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.    Peter is survived by the love of his life for 52 years, wife Barbara Anne Keating,  daughter Kirsten Brokken and husband D. Eric Brokken, daughter Kim Carstens, son  Eric Braun and wife Ann Marie Braun, daughter Gretchen Barchak and husband Richard  Barchak. Grandchildren: Erin and husband Nicholas Hart, Jordan and Andrew Brokken,  Luke and Jack Carstens, Grace Marie, Samantha, Matthew, Tillman James, and Reagan  Blake Braun, Allen, Julia and Benjamin Barchak , and great-grandchildren Gage Sloan,  Lyla and Dexter Hart.      After serving his country as a Captain in the Marine Corps, Peter became a highly  successful executive specializing in domestic and international truck sales and  management. That 35 year journey included working for White Motor Corporation, Volvo  White Corporation, Houston Freightliner, Keystone Freightliner and Daimler Trucks  North America. He also served on the J.G. Braun Company Board of Directors for 12  years.      After retiring in 2002 Peter discovered his true passion of teaching. He was an  Adjunct Professor of Business Principles, Principles of Marketing and Principles of  Management with the Lone Star College System University Park/Tomball until spring  2017, ?T?eaching truly allowed Peter to give back and fulfill his desire to help  others succeed in life. ?PAX VOBISCUM SEMPER AETERNUM
