Pete Anton Zientek passed away Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Pete was born on December 2, 1944 to Max and Gertrude Zientek, in Houston, Texas.
Pete grew up in the Heights area and attended Reagan High School. He met Clara Krolczyk, as children, but as fate would have it, they ended up meeting at a dance, falling in love and getting married. They were married on April 29, 1967 at Christ the King Church in Houston. They began their family and had 4 wonderful children that would be the light of their life.
Pete worked in the steel industry as a welder for companies like Armco Steel and General Electric.
Pete enjoyed dancing, playing washers and cards. He also worked at Bill Mraz Ballroom where he spent lots of time enjoying music and his community. He will be remembered as caring husband, active father, doting grandfather and all around nice guy. He loved watching any activity that involved his children or grandchildren and could be found near a baseball field, court, swimming pool or livestock arena.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel Zientek . He is also survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Clara Krolczyk Zientek, and sister Angeline Januszewski. Other survivors are sons; Dale Zientek and wife Karen, Larry Zientek and wife Kim, daughters Becky Anderson and husband Keith, and Debbie Zientek and husband Robert Lehmann. He also has 6 grandchildren. Ashley Zientek, Courtney Anderson, Cody Zientek, Mason Zientek, Brooklyn Anderson and Cameron Zientek.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, October 8th, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065; and a funeral service on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018, with viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Rd., Houston, TX 77092; followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery in Brenham, TX 77833 at 1:00 PM.
