Penny Kay Welch

1941-2021

Penny Kay Welch, 79, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo Welch.  Penny is survived by her sons, John Thomas (Tom) Matkin III and his wife Monica, Michael Matkin and his wife Ninfa; stepdaughter Kellie Welch Manger and her husband David, stepson Kyle Welch and his wife Tonya, and preceded in death by stepson Kurt Welch.  Penny was blessed with eight grandchildren.

Penny was a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  If so inclined, memorial gifts can be made to Samaritan's Purse, a favorite charity of Penny's.  Burial will be at Dixie Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Graveside service for immediate family.
