Our beloved father, Peng Sia (Thomas) Tang, passed away on Monday February 10th, 2025 at 61 years of age. He is survived by his wife, Maria Cristina; his children, Sophia and Andrew; and his siblings, Agatha, Lucia, Lucy, Michael, and Theresa.

He was born on November 6th, 1963 in Malacca, Malaysia as the second youngest of ten children of Lim Boey and Tang Weng Hua. He moved to the United States in 1987 to study at the University of Memphis where he received his Master's degree in Civil Engineering. He later moved to Houston, Texas where he lived and raised his family. You could find him playing badminton every Saturday at the Houston Badminton Center. He enjoyed spending his time taking photos, watching soccer, and sampling all the restaurants in Chinatown. He was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Thomas' departure was sudden and unanticipated, but we are consoled by the fact that he lived well and was loved by his family deeply. He was a quiet man, but with his loved ones, he had an unexpectedly lighthearted sense of humor. He lived for his family and asked little for himself in return, and we know that he could not have been more proud of his children. While coming to a new country to make a new life was rewarding, we also know it was also incredibly challenging at times, and we cannot thank him enough for the sacrifices he made to make our lives as rich and full of opportunity as they are. We hope that all of our spoken and unspoken sentiments of gratitude and love are conveyed to him as he takes his final rest with God.

His service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065.  Additionally, there will be visiting hours on Monday, February 17, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 18, from 1-2 p.m. Interment will be private.
