It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Jane Wisnieski, who passed away in Spring, Texas, on June 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with meningioma.

Peggy was born on February 13, 1952, in Houston, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who lived her life with joy, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She met the love of her life, Johnny, at the age of 14, married him in 1971, and together they celebrated a remarkable 55 years of marriage this year. Over the past year, as Peggy faced her illness with strength and grace, Johnny was her constant source of comfort and care. He stood faithfully by her side through every appointment, every challenge, and every quiet moment in between, offering unwavering support, patience, and love. In these final months especially, his devotion never wavered—he cared for her with tenderness and dignity, ensuring she was never alone and always surrounded by the love they had built together over a lifetime.

While still in high school, Peggy began her career at Shell Oil, where she worked for 43 years before retiring in 2012. Retirement suited her well. When she wasn't tending to her perfectly manicured flower beds at home, she and Johnny could often be found visiting family in Austin or Dallas to spend time with their grandchildren or traveling I-10 to enjoy one of the many casinos between Louisiana and Mississippi. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. She never sought anything extravagant—she simply gave of herself, always putting others first.

Peggy set a wonderful example for her children, Ryan and Jamie, teaching them the importance of loving their family and cherishing every moment together. Before her illness, it was nearly impossible to keep her still. Hardworking and determined, she never missed an opportunity to support the people she loved. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines, attending performances and activities, celebrating milestones, or simply being present, Peggy always showed up with a smile and left with an even bigger one, grateful for another memory made with her family.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Wisnieski; her sister, Patricia Orlando; her son, Ryan Wisnieski, and his wife, Sharon; her daughter, Jamie Turner, and her husband, Matt; and her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Wisnieski, Arden Wisnieski, Merrick Turner, and Sloane Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Frances Jebbia, and her brother, Jimmy Jebbia.
