Peggy Toland McGuirt, age 92, loving mother of two, and adoring wife of Arthur J. McGuirt, Jr, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2023 at 9:13 p.m.

Peggy was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was raised in the church and very fitting that she met A.J. there. She and A.J. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 18, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Toland. She is survived by her loving husband A.J., her son Arthur John McGuirt, III, his wife Wendy, her daughter Karen McGuirt Adair, her husband Rob, and her grandchildren Ryan McGuirt, his wife Reagan, Paige Hey, her husband Will, and Riley Adair. She also had one great grandchild, Jackson McGuirt.

Peggy was a well loved member of her family. She was always giving and thinking of others. She loved people and often opened her home for folks to share a meal. She was a partner to A.J. in every sense of the word, especially during his time as a pastor and Bible teacher. She was a devoted mother and gave tremendously of herself to them.

She will be greatly missed.
