Pedro Daniel Lara, February 20 th , 1943 (El Paso, Texas) - January 11 th , 2019 (Houston, Texas), remembered as a doting husband, father, brother, grandfather and loyal friend.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pedro Daniel Lara. It is also with great relief that he may rest in peace and that heaven has gained an angel.

Pedro is preceded by his father Roberto Sr., mother Aurora and mother in-law Angela Mendez. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margarita, children Ida (Joe), Peter, Corina (David) and Gabriel (Adriana). Pedro is also survived by his siblings Roberto Jr., Hector and sisters Martha and Delia. He is remembered fondly by his grandchildren Steven, Ruben, Daniel, Andrew, Christina, Trisha, Alisa (Carlos), Michael and Matthew, along with his 9 great grandchildren with a 10th on the way. He retired from his role as Director of Merchandising at Fiesta Mart, where he spent over 30 years with the company.

Pedro continued to handle his transition with strength, dignity and selflessness until his final day. He continued to enlighten his family with his charm, wit and humor.

The family wishes to express their thankfulness for the support of the doctors at MD Anderson. Pedro had his family by his side and was surrounded by those he loved.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel in Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, located at 11507 Huffmeister Rd, Houston, TX 77065 on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Reception and celebration of life to follow the mass at the Lara household. He will be laid to rest at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery in Cypress.
