Pauline James, age 96, went to be with the Lord on August 24th in Waller Texas.
She was born on August 20th 1921, in a place close to Mena Arkansas named Posey Hollow. She was a member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Big Fork Arkansas.
Pauline was preceded in death by parents, Ola Brown Rhodes and Colonel Bascom Rhodes, husband Walter James, sons Charles and Wayne James, brother Luther Rhodes and sisters Josephine Meschnig and Ellen Sutphin.
She is survived by her youngest son Bobby James and wife Noelia, daughters in law
Josie James Brown and Jean James, sister in law Minnie Bisbee, 9 grandchildren and several great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She loved crocheting, sewing, playing the guitar, singing, reading the bible, listening to gospel music and copying and sharing recipes.
She was the matriarch of our family. She lived her life for her three sons and taught them to be
honest, strong and to always try and do the right thing. She will never be forgotten for her beautiful spirit and kindness.
A special thank you to Seasons hospice for all of their support to Pauline and her family the last two years, and to the Brown House for helping us in her final months.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30am Thursday, August 31st, 2017 at Klein Funeral Home-Magnolia, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77355.
The burial will be on Saturday in Arkansas.
