Paula Johneé Dressback Prasek, 70, passed away unexpectedly, on October 28th, 2017, at home, surrounded by family and friends. She was a good wife, an excellent mother, and a faithful friend.

Paula was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 5th, 1947. She grew up in Agua Dulce, Texas, where she met her future husband, Larry Prasek, when she was 14. She graduated from Agua Dulce High School in 1964 and she and Larry were married in 1966 at St. Frances Catholic Church in Agua Dulce. They made their home in Corpus Christi with their two children, Dale and Connie until Larry was transferred and they moved to Houston, Texas, in 1978 where she lived until her passing. She worked as an office manager at Aquatic Pools for 20 years and retired in 2007.

Paula had a great love for roses, Whataburger and all things Astros, but most especially Craig Biggio. She was a champion bowler and had a great sense of humor. She loved to play card games with friends and read romance novels, as well as gamble in Las Vegas. She collected bells, Coca Cola memorabilia and Astros merchandise. Up until the end, she was feisty and funny in turns.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Pauline Dressback. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry Prasek; her children Dale and Connie; her grandchildren Jordyn and Caleb; and her sister Lanell Bowers.
