Paula Jean McIntyre, beloved wife and mother of two children, joined the choir of angels on May 18, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Daughter of the late Joe Paul and Lois Jeanette Vandergriff and sister Alice Faye Moore.  She was born in Sherman, Texas on September 14, 1940, and grew up in the Dallas area.  During her career, she served as the chair side assistant and office manager for a periodontist prior to joining Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  After moving to Houston, she worked with Cigna, Sisters of Charity, and Humana aiding clients with medical claims and policy issues.

As a single mother, Paula created stuffed bears for the children of friends and colleagues and enjoyed decorating for various holidays as well as traveling. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Brian McIntyre, two sons David Richard and Edward Paul Konlande, grandson Alex Konlande, granddaughter Kelsey Konlande, and great-grandson Harris Paul Konlande.
