Paula Jo Grant Landry was born in Corpus Christy, Texas on January 25 th in 1958, and passed away on April 30 th , 2017.  She is survived by her husband, Brian Carroll, with whom she spent 17 wonderful years. Her sister Regina and her husband David Hayek, nieces Rebecca, Cathy, and Susie, and nephew Micheal.

Sweet Paula left this earth to be with God the Father, Sunday,  April 30 th , 2017 at 4:35 in the afternoon.  Paula struggled for breath for a  very, very, long time.  She is no longer struggling or suffering,  and is safe in the arms of our Lord

Paula was the owner of several businesses, beginning with a shoe shine business at a very young age.  She would eventually own a Plumbing Supply and a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Company.

She was a land owner and had cows, horses (who were all named)  and 3 dogs;  Mildred, Wally and Mimi.  She spent her spare time with the many animals she loved so much.  Brian called her the "Animal Whisperer".  She could nurse all her animals back to health should they become sick.  She should have been a veterinarian, he claims.  She especially loved horses.  She followed a small rodeo circuit competing in barrel racing.  Not only did she run the barrels, she even rode a bull!

Paula was an avid music fan.  She could name songs from the 1940's to the 1980's.  Brian says she should have been on the program, "Name That Tune".  He tried to stump her with YouTube songs, and rarely could.

She was very intelligent, putting herself through two colleges.  Lamar University and St Thomas University.  She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  She had a 4.0 grade point average.

Paula was a very strong individual.  She knew how to get things done and did so with hard work and perseverance.  She had a wonderful personality with a fantastic  sense of humor.  She knew how to pull you out of a funk and into a fit of laughter.  Most of the time it was poking fun at herself.  She had the best stories…   Paula will be missed by all who loved her.
