Paula Rogers Daniel, the beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Daniel for 22 years, quietly passed away on March 16. Paula loved to travel, collect and take pictures. She loved her family and friends and was always happy to have visitors. She was also an avid animal lover. Her life was blessed with an abundance of cats and dogs through the years.

Paula was born in Laredo, Texas, to Oscar Paul Rogers and Louella Virginia McKay Rogers on August 15, 1936. She was the eldest of three siblings and is survived by her sister Dawn Rogers Duke, brother Pat Rogers of Walsenburg, Colorado, husband and many extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Rogers.

Paula lived her early life in Mirando City, Texas and later attended Junior High and High School in Mission, Texas where she graduated in 1954.  Upon graduation, small town south Texas lost its charm and she left for the big city of Corpus Christi.  There, while working as a dental assistant, she was spotted by a recruiter for TransTexas Airline and by the age of 19 her career as a flight attendant left the runway. Over 45 years in the industry, she continued to work for successor companies Texas International and Continental Airlines, eventually settling in Tomball. Upon retirement in 2001, after 45 years' service, Paula had achieved the status of #1 flight attendant on Continental's seniority list and earned the nickname "Sky Princess" from her colleagues. Paula still had the travel bug (and travel passes), so she and Bob roamed the world by plane, ship and car for years. At home, Paula fancied herself a self-made designer, and put her distinct touch on her home, which held many items collected from her travels and years in the airline business. Paula took much pride in barely being able to boil water but would always offer to wash dishes after a good meal.

Paula's recent years were challenging as she dealt with Alzheimer's and other memory-related illnesses. She will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, her family has asked for donations to be made in Paula's name to the pet shelter of your choice.
