Obituary

Paul Perry Touchet, 70, of Houston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 24, 2017. Paul was born on February 7, 1947, in Youngsville, Louisiana, to Verda and Forest Touchet.   He graduated from Lafayette High School where he was the drum major in the band.  Paul went on to attended the University of Louisiana Lafayette and then enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.   Following his career in the Navy, he went onto Mortuary School where he later became a Funeral Director.
He met Jane Stelly of Sunset, Louisiana, and  they married on December 29, 1968.   After living in several different cities, they settled into Houston, Texas, in 1978 with their daughter Paige.  During his time in Houston, Paul was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, Woodsman of the World, Serra Club, and served as President of the Spring Branch Memorial Chamber of Commerce. He worked as a Funeral Director for Klein Funeral Homes for 22 years where he dedicated his life to helping others in their time of need.
In his spare time, Paul enjoyed golfing, joking around, playing the drums, and spending time with his grandsons. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane Touchet; daughter, Tiffany Paige Touchet-Hawkins and husband David Hawkins of Fort Worth, Texas; and two grandsons, Ashton Touchet and Drake Hawkins. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Verda and Forest Touchet.
Paul will lie in state on Monday, May 29, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home - Champion Forest. A Catholic funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Ashton Touchet, Drake Hawkins, David Hawkins, Coby Vincent, Reed Vincent, and Joseph Stablier.
