Paul Snyder, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. He was born on September 30, 1936, in Root, New York, to Marjorie Button Snyder and Abram Snyder.

Paul's life was shaped early by hardship, losing his father at just two years old and his mother in 1957. As the youngest of four children—Verna (DeLamarter), Doris (Cook), and Everett—he outlived all his siblings, carrying forward the strength and resilience instilled in him from a young age.

In 1955, Paul answered the call to serve, joining the United States Air Force. He proudly dedicated 20 years to his country, building not only a distinguished military career but a life of adventure and purpose alongside his beloved wife, Judith Louise Kolts. Judy, his high school sweetheart, became his lifelong partner after their marriage in 1957. Together, they traveled the world, faced life's challenges hand in hand, and created a home filled with love, faith, and commitment. Judy preceded him in death in 2017, and Paul carried her memory in his heart every day thereafter.

Following his retirement from the Air Force in 1975, Paul continued his service working for U.S. Customs in Houston, Texas. No matter where life took him—from Texas to upstate New York and back again—his greatest priority was always his family.

Paul was a devoted father to his three children: Steven F. Snyder, Sandra Lee Snyder (Sabra), and Suzanne Louise Snyder (Doxakis). Through hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering partnership with Judy, he ensured his children were given opportunities he deeply valued—education, strong values, and a lasting foundation of faith and love of country.

Life brought both trials and blessings. After losing their home in Cypress, Texas in a fire during a flood, Paul and Judy returned to Harpersfield, New York in 1998, where they rebuilt their lives surrounded by family and friends.  After Judy's passing, Paul eventually returned to the Houston area in 2019 to be closer to his daughters, where he spent his final years surrounded by family.

Those years were filled with moments he cherished—celebrating birthdays with loved ones, watching his family grow, and witnessing the marriage of his son Steven to Karen in 2024. These moments brought him great joy and peace.

Paul was a proud and loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children:
Steven Snyder and wife Karen;
Sandra Sabra and husband Rabih;
and Suzanne Doxakis and husband Greg.

He leaves behind six grandchildren:
Zachary Snyder (wife Casey), David Sabra (wife Charissa), Joanna Sabra, Stephen Sabra (wife Patricia), Johnny Sabra, and Matthew Doxakis;

and five cherished great-grandchildren:
Gabriel, Jubilee, and Hannah Sabra, and June and Ruthann Snyder.

Paul worked tirelessly through life's challenges to provide for his family and, together with Judy, built a foundation that continues through generations. He loved the Lord, his country, and above all, his family.

His legacy is not only in the life he lived but in the lives he helped shape—children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who carry forward his values, his spirit, and his love.
