Obituary

Paul was born in Dobbs Ferry, New York on June 25, 1955, and was raised in a devout Christian home with his brother and sister and a huge traditional Italian family.  He graduated from Archbishop of Stepinac and received his Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Oswego, New York.  Paul loved sports and played football in high school and college. He also loved golf and spent a lot of time at the golf course in Dobbs Ferry as a caddy.  Paul was the eternal optimistic and always dreamed big. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1980 to make his fortune during the economic boom, where he met the love of his life in 1982.

Paul and Lynn married in 1986, and built at home and family with four beautiful children in the Tomball area.  Paul taught in the Klein and Tomball school districts for several years, but his primary interest was in the real estate market.  Paul's goal in life has always been to make everyone he met feel happy and make them laugh.  He was quick to joke and tease and share his joyful heart with each person he encountered. Paul was a disciple, protector and generous and loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, and his greatest joy was making wonderful memories with his children and grandchildren. He loved his family with a passion beyond measure, and he spent all his spare time showing that devotion every day.  Paul built a strong foundation and a legacy of faith in God in the Catholic Church and love of life for his family that will live on forever.

Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lynn, and children, Laura Lynn Chebetar, Paul John Chebetar, Jr., Alyssa Claire Chebetar and Sarah Rose Chebetar Cross and his son-in-law, Matthew Cross, along with his grandsons, Elijah James Cross and Daniel Thomas Cross.  He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Chebetar, sister, Jean Maria Guberti and brother-in-law, Robert Guberti, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
