Paul Robert Arends

Paul Robert Arends, age 78, was born on August 19, 1947 and passed away surrounded by the love of his wife on August 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and devotion. He was the beloved son of Robert Arends and Jean Arends.

Paul was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen Arends, and a loving father to his children, Mardi Heiar, Jon Arends, and Sarah Arends. He was a proud grandfather to Zoe Heiar, Zachary Heiar, and Maxwell Heiar, who brought him immense joy throughout his life.

A graduate of Elmhurst College, Paul built a successful career in the petrochemical industry. He worked as a purchasing agent for several oil companies and concluded his distinguished career with Total Petrochemicals, where he served for 17 years before retiring in 2017. His dedication, professionalism, and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1974. His military service reflected the commitment, discipline, and patriotism that he carried throughout his life.

In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed fishing, gardening, and attending plays and concerts. He found happiness outdoors, in the arts, and most importantly, in spending time with those he loved.

Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

There will be a funeral service held in the main Chapel of Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Tx., (1400 W, Main St. Tomball, Tx. 77375) on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m.
