Obituary

Mrs. Patty Geer passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2023. She was born on January 12, 1949 to Edna and Ernest Patterson in Conroe, TX. She was raised in Tomball, Texas, where she lived a long and beautiful life as a loving and devoted mother, wife, and Naunie to her four grandchildren.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. James Geer, her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Stevenie Haner, her grandchildren, Dr. Morgynn Haner (Phillip), Mackenzie (Josh) Thompson, and Chase and Cody Haner. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Gage Thompson, and her brother and two sisters, JL Patterson, Fran (Abby) Stratton and Barbara (Adrien) Selensky. She was proceeded in death by her son, Rocky Haner, her mother and father, and her sister-in-law, Ellen Patterson.

Patty was impressively hard-working and dedicated to her career. In her spare time, she adopted and cared for cats with special needs. She gave her cats the best lives and found joy in seeing them recover and thrive. She also embraced her free-spiritedness and traveled with her husband and family to her favorite, happiest of places— Las Vegas. She embraced her natural beauty and exuberance and loved to get dressed up, to play dice with her husband (and beat him most of the time), and share fine food and wine with her sisters and eldest granddaughter, Morgynn.

From the time she was a little girl, Patty loved to dance. She lit up when her favorite songs would play, and whether she walked onto the dance floor in Vegas or her living room, her smile was infectious. It was impossible not to join her, even though no one could ever match her grace, beauty, and enthusiasm.

Patty valued her family above all else. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out, was selfless in her love and did all that she could and more to make sure her family were happy. She never hesitated to take care of those fortunate enough to be loved by her. Her close family are blessed to have had such an extraordinary woman by our side. She changed our lives, and not one of us would be who we are now without her.
