Patsy B West, age 93, of Tomball, Texas, passed away June 4, 2026. She was 15 days from her 94th Birthday. Patsy's inspiring journey began in Roscoe, Texas, where she was born and grew up working alongside her parents on their cotton farm-an experience that instilled the unwavering work ethic and determination that would define her life. After marrying her beloved husband James West ( who passed way on December 26, 2023), Patsy tackled the challenge of pursuing her teaching dream while raising two young children, Steve and Tomi. Through sheer dedication and perseverance, she attended five different colleges as the family moved for various opportunities, until she finally earned her teaching degree from Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas. For over 20 years, Patsy touched countless young lives as an elementary school teacher, leaving a lasting impact on every student who walked through her classroom door. After Patsy's and James' retirement, they moved back to their hometown of Sweetwater, Tx until 2021 when they relocated to Rockwall, Tx to be closer to family. After James passed away, Patsy moved to the Tomball/Magnolia area where her favorite past times were reading suspense novels, bird watching and watching The Andy Griffith Show and classic westerns on the Western Channel. Patsy is survived by her children: Her son, Steve West and wife Cathy West. Her daughter, Tomi Stout and husband Lee Stout. Grandchildren: Dara West, Haley West, Lindsey West Hromadka, Mark West, Rachel Stout DeFriend and Ryan Stout and 11 great-grandchildren.
