?Patsy Ruth Starr, 64, of Pinehurst, TX, passed away November 3, 2018.
She was born the fourth child of Steve and Vera Batts on September 10, 1954. After graduating from Magnolia (TX) High School, Patsy worked as an overseas telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She met and married Kenneth Starr and together they raised Jonathan and Rebecca. Patsy quit the phone company and followed both kids into Central Baptist Academy where she taught 2nd and 3rd grades until she retired.
Patsy's strong Christian faith and pure grit courage sustained her as she survived kidney cancer and many orthopedic surgeries. She was her happiest when she became a grandmother after the birth of Samuel Starr.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 8, at Klein Memorial Park - SH 249, 32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, TX 77362.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
