?Patsy C. Smiley, born November 1, 1940, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, received her angel wings on May 6, 2018.
Patsy, better known as "Mamaw," lived her life to the fullest. While in Mississippi, she dedicated all of her time serving the Lord and anyone in need. She was the president of the VFW Women's Auxiliary to the Military Order of the Cootie, Free State of Jones #4, in Laurel, MS. She volunteered countless hours to helping and doing for retired, injured, and active veterans, the elderly, and the homeless.
She moved to Texas in early 2000 to be with her family where she continued taking care of anyone who needed her. Mamaw never met a stranger or a stray; any and all were always welcome with open arms and loved unconditionally. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and painting.
She leaves behind her only son, Troy Michael Smiley; her daughter-in-law, Pamela Lux; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Troy and Kenneth; and sister-in-law, Sue.
