Patrick Thomas Redmond, age 71, passed away at his home surrounded by love on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  Patrick battled a year-long fight with cancer, endured much pain until he received his heavenly reward as he entered the presence of God.

Patrick was very proud to serve his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  During his tour, he learned discipline and determination that served him through a lifetime.  He was a loving husband, dad, papa and friend.

Patrick followed in his father's footsteps and became an avid collector.  His passion of collecting was sports memorabilia.  He lived for all things sports; but baseball was definitely his first love with football coming in a close second.  Since Patrick was born a Californian, as a young boy his favorite teams were the San Francisco Giants for baseball and the 49'ers for football.  After his moved to Texas, he became a true Astros and Houston Texans fan!

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his loving wife, Sue; Children: Kirsten Grigonis, Kaitlin Redmond-Gressett and husband, Jeremiah, Ryan Redmond, Kelsey Redmond; Stepchildren: Angie Knaute and husband Alex, Kristin Dolfi and husband Chris, Sarah Barrow and husband Charles; Grandchildren: Hayden, Kalina, Kela, Caleb, Johnathon, LilyAnn, Daisy, Jeremiah, Katelyn, Kallista, Karleigh, Kassandra, Makinna and Amelia, his sister Arlene and special friend and companion, Harley, in addition to numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd at Klein Funeral Home, Cy-Fair.

A service celebrating Patrick Redmond's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23rd at Klein Funeral Home, Cy-Fair.  Following the service, there will be a procession to Houston National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
