Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Mary Deloris McConnell Newey. He was a proud father to his two children: Dana Lynn Ritchie (Newey) and Allen Paul Newey.

His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Christian James; Eric Anthony, his wife Tayler Leeann; Shawn Alexander, his wife Mariah Leigh Ann; Braedyn Wyatt Dee, and Payton Dewain Thomas.
