Patrick Edward Delamater, Sr., age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Fountainview Continuing Care neighborhood of Highland Springs Senior Living community in Dallas, TX.

Born in Peekskill, NY on March 16, 1932, Pat attended Peekskill High School in New York.  Following his high school years, he enlisted in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordinanceman Third Class in July of 1950.  He received the Korean service medal, United nations medal and a National Defense Service medal.  He was honorably discharged from his service in May of 1954.

On May 12, 1957, he married the love of his life, Adrienne Bunney, also of Peekskill.  Together they had 2 children and were actively involved in the First Baptist Church of Peekskill, NY until his job took them to the Spring, TX area in 1980 where they were active members of Champion Forest Baptist Church.  Being avid baseball fans, they quickly became attached to the Astros and even had season tickets for several years.

August of 2021brought them to the Highland Springs community in the Dallas area where he remained a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather for the remainder of his life.  He is pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Ade.

He is survived by son, Pat Delamater, Jr and wife Nancy; daughter Lynda Delamater Becker and husband Les; 2 grandsons, Patrick Delamater, III (Trey) and Jacob Delamater; 2 granddaughters, Ally Kelley/husband Jake and Samantha Morrison/husband Tom; and 1 great-grandson Weston Morrison.
