In memory of Patricia Bongirne Youngblood, a devoted servant of God, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother & friend who went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on April 8, 2017 after six weeks of illness. "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 23:43. For Patty and those who know Jesus Christ as Savior of their sins, death is the beginning of glory in Heaven.
Patricia was born and raised in New York city, a twin and one of four children of Joseph Bongirne(deceased) and Julie Sampiere(deceased). She graduated Valedictorian from an all girl's high school where she was trained as a secretary. She met and married George Youngblood while he was stationed at the New York Army Base. They moved to Clemson, S.C. and then to Durham N.C. where Patricia encouraged & supported her husband in his educational endeavors. They later lived in New York and Texas where Patricia became a mother, dedicated follower of Jesus, faithful volunteer at church, friend to all she met and manager of several bands her children were involved in. Her hope was that those she knew would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ Who came, Himself, as a substitute for their sins.
She is survived by children Gail, Lisa and son-in-law Jim, Dana, Daryl and daughter-in-law Amy, grandchildren Evan and wife Josette, Conner and wife Allie, Nicole, Luke, Landon, Kayson, twin sister Cynthia , numerous nieces and nephews and many beloved Youngblood family members and friends.
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5. Death is the last song on earth but the first stanza in eternity.
It is now well with her body and most certainly well with her soul.
