Patricia Jean White, adored wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend went to be with the Lord on August 06, 2026.  She was at home, peacefully surrounded by family, who she proudly called her Cajun Army.  Patricia (Pat) lived a rich and joyful life to the age of 86 and leaves behind a legacy of love that touched everyone she knew.

Patricia was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Frank and Earlene McDonald on June 15, 1940.  She had very fond memories of spending time as a child with her grandmother 'Gum' and aunt 'Goot'.  She attended Catholic school alongside her sisters, Jan and Frankie, and later graduated from Baton Rouge High School.

Patricia attended LSU in Baton Rouge where she met and married the love of her life Phil in 1960.  Phil entered the Army immediately upon graduating with a Petroleum Engineering degree, and they began their journey of moves between military and oil.  Together, early on, with three kids under three years in tow, they moved from Louisiana to Kansas, where they learned firsthand about snow and tornado shelters, and then to Texas. From Beaumont to Dallas (where their fourth child was born) to the Rio Grand valley, they then moved to their ultimate 'home' Houston/Cypress in 1975.

Patricia's gift for connecting with people shaped her life and aided her in Mary Kay, personnel recruiting, being a 'boutique lady', and working in the Attendance office at Arnold Junior High.  She loved cooking for family and had a special flare for Cajun flavors. There was always a freezer full of home cooked meals for anyone in need. When her children were young, she sewed many outfits and later sewed and crocheted for her grand and great grandchildren.  Patricia's sharp wit and even sharper pencil made her a natural writer and editor, especially during her years of producing the Cinco Ranch newsletter.  The annual 'White Christmas Newsletter' became a treasured tradition enjoyed by family and friends.

Family gatherings were Patricia's greatest joy!  Birthdays, holidays, family reunions, Sunday Funday in the pool at Dale Hollow, it didn't matter as long as she could be surrounded by family.  She and Phil attended virtually every dance, choir, sports event, and graduation for all eleven of their grandchildren- always cheering them on with pride.

During her golden years, Pat loved for Phil to take her on road trips to casinos, on cruises, and on many adventures in their RV.  As long as she had Phil by her side, she was happy.  She loved Phil with all of her heart and more!

Patricia leaves her husband Phil of 65 years to carry on the legacy of love for family including 23 great grandchildren.  Their example of love, devotion, and taking joy in the presence of family will endure for generations.

Son Jeff White and wife Jodi; their children Ashley Sidoti and husband Paul and three great grandchildren; Kristen Henshaw and two great grandchildren; Cole Matteson and wife MacKenna and two great grandchildren; Taylor Williams and husband Will and three great grandchildren; and Megan White;

Daughter Lori Castro and husband Dave; their children Kari Williams and husband Adrian and three great grandchildren; Douglas Koudelka and one great granddaughter; Haley Shields and husband Colton (expecting);

Daughter Amy Vincik and husband Butch; their children Katelyn Macalla and husband Connor and two great grandchildren; Kelsey Vincik; and Kingsley Vincik;

Sister Jan Pierson and husband George; two nephews;

Sister Frankie Levy; three nieces.

Patricia's life was defined by love, laughter, faith, and family.  Ministering to others whether Marriage Encounter or church festivals, she always had a church home no matter where she lived.  Her offers and requests for prayer for family and friends are a familiar and touching memory for all who were blessed to know her. Pat's presence made every room warmer, every gathering fuller, and every story funnier.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Friends are invited to visit with the family between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 10, in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Klein Memorial Park in Cypress.
