Patricia Lynn Kersten Wallace was born on October 8, 1939, in Houston, Texas to Robert Kersten and Lisa de Vries Kersten. She was baptized on October 29, 1939 at St Paul's Lutheran Church. In 1953, she was confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Larry William Wallace on June 9, 1962, at St Paul's Lutheran church and they enjoyed 61 years of married life together. Larry considers himself blessed to have shared these 61 years with his Proverbs 31 wife. God also blessed them with their two children, Jeffrey and Kimberly, and then with four wonderful grandsons, Hunter, Parker, Cameron, and Lucas. Patricia served her God as a faithful wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. Patricia graduated from St Paul's Lutheran School in 1957 and then Texas Lutheran College with a degree in Elementary Education in 1962 and then began her career dedicated to children, learning, and education serving children in Fort Worth, Houston, and Klein. She worked 16 years as a teacher before receiving her Master's in Education in School Administration. Patricia became an assistant principal and ultimately a principal and worked in school administration until her retirement. In 2007, Patricia along with her husband Larry, started F.A.C.E.S.-The Foundation for Autism Care, Education, and Services which provides hope and evidence-based services by providing ABA scholarships to families without sufficient resources to cover the costs. A lifelong Lutheran, Patricia served the Lord and her church by being involved in various ministries including teaching Sunday School, Bible Study Fellowship, participating in Ladies' Aid, various boards, the food pantry, and singing in the choir. Patricia was loved and cherished by her family and friends and was known by all to be a woman whose life was a witness to the Lord. On October 19, 2023, at the age of 84, after three separate battles with breast cancer and complications from a blood infection, God blessed Patricia with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
