Patricia (Pat) Thomas died peacefully on December 1, 2016 at her home in Houston, Texas.

Pat was born in Canada to Polish immigrant parents. She spent the first 30 years in Canada, experiencing many adventures that she loved to talk about. With her vibrant story-telling skills, most of what she related seemed unbelievable.

Canada is where she met and married Andrew, a Polish immigrant doctor. She followed him in his travels to the states, where they moved to several cities, finally settling in El Paso with their children. Pat worked in the office of her husband's medical practice. Eventually they sold the practice and after another couple of moves, they planted their final roots in Houston.

Pat and Andrew both died where they wanted to be…at home…in their bedroom, and although 7 years apart, they are together again.

Pat was a devout Catholic and believer in miracles. She was proud to be employed by Security Church Finance where she formed many cherished friendships.

She will be greatly missed by all her loving family, neighbors and friends. Thanks to her neighbor and friends for keeping a close watch on her and making sure she was well fed. Thank you to her caregivers at Home Vitality Care for putting up with Pat's stubborn independence. Thanks to Father Francis for taking on the role of her big brother and protector of her soul.

A special thanks to Nancy, her live in caregiver for the past two years. You did a tremendous job caring for Pat as your own mother. She loved you as a daughter and we could not have done this without you.

Pat's wish to stay at home was fulfilled because of her neighbors, Father Francis and Nancy. We are forever in you debt. As Pat would say, "You earned your wings in Heaven".

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Christine Greenlee and husband Shane; sons John Paul Thomas, Adam Thomas and wife Tammy; grandchildren Alexandra Garnand and husband J, Danielle Thomas, Cayden Thomas, Andie Greenlee and Addison Greenlee; great-grandchild Hudson Garnand; and a host of other family members and very special lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home – Champion Forest, with a Vigil and Rosary at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church , 7819 Cypresswood Drive in Spring , Texas 77379. Interment will following Mass at Klein Memorial Park on FM 2920.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may either be directed to St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church or to your favorite charity.
