Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Patricia Ann Roberts announces her peaceful passing on August 26, 2026, in Cypress, Texas, at the age of 77. She leaves behind a legacy defined by beauty, creativity, big hugs, warm smiles, and a boundless capacity to love.

Born on February 9, 1949, in Justin Texas, Patti spent her life making the world a more beautiful place. She expressed this gift through her professional work in interior design and the warmth she brought into every room she entered. Patti had a rare talent for connecting with people, cultivating a large, cherished circle of friends, and fiercely loving everyone fortunate enough to be in her life.

Above all, Patti’s greatest passion was her family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, John Roberts, who preceded her in death. As well as her father Burnis Sanders, mother Dorothy Sanders, and brother Mike Sanders.

Patti is survived by her beloved sister, Cindi Morgan of Fort Worth TX, and best friend of 56 years, Donna Garland of Granbury TX. She leaves behind her children: daughter Shannon Barber and husband Nathan of Tomball TX; son Criss Roberts of Tomball TX; and daughter Shuranda Widener and husband Kirk of Altus OK. Patti was the proud Granny and MaMaw of six: Taylor Haddock of Boerne TX; Aidan Barber (Dannie Lynn) of Seattle WA; Jaycee Barber of Tomball TX; Dawson Barber of Tomball TX; Denielle Widener of Altus OK; and Krystin Widener of Altus OK. She was also Granny to countless other children and even adults that she adopted along the way.

Patti's vibrant spirit and lasting love endure through her beloved great-grandchildren, Oaklee, Everest, and Rowan Barber. She leaves behind a legacy of love shared with her family and a lifetime of friends.

Patti’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the entire team at Spring Cypress Senior Living. These exceptional caregivers provided selfless love and support, truly becoming an extension of the family.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Patti hosted by the family on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2:00pm – 6:00pm located at 11703 Spring Path Ct. Tomball, TX 77377

The family asks that if you plan to attend, please wear the color Red in honor of Patti as that was her favorite color.
