Patricia "Pat" Sechelski Pate, age 65, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2026.

Pat was born on August 10, 1960, in Houston, Texas, to George and Maxine Sechelski, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Pate; her brother, Billy Louis Sechelski; her brother-in-law, Davis "Dink" Barron; and her nephews, Bradley "Brad" Barron and Darrell Sechelski.

She is survived by her sisters, Gloria Phillips, Jackie Barron, and Rosemary (Mike) Spurling, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Throughout her life, Pat was known for her kindness, generosity, humor, and her deep love for family and friends. She loved to travel and cherished the trip of a lifetime to Rome and Paris, an experience that remained one of the highlights of her life and a source of joy she often shared with others.

Pat worked at Helfman River Oaks Chrysler Jeep Dodge, where she developed many close and lasting relationships. She was always the first one in the office each day, keeping everyone organized and on track. Pat was loyal to a fault and deeply devoted to the people she worked with. She proudly served as the self-appointed social director, making sure birthdays and special occasions were always decorated and celebrated. Pat liked to feel special, and just as importantly, she wanted others to feel special too. That mattered deeply to her.

It is often said that redheads possess superpowers, and that was certainly true of Pat. She was the very definition of a true redhead in both spirit and personality. Pat was sensitive and could tear up over the slightest sentimental gesture, yet she could also be wonderfully explosive, expressing whatever she felt in the moment. She was passionate about everything—she didn't just like something, she Adored it; she didn't just hear, she Listened; she didn't just try, she Did; she didn't just smile, she Laughed; she didn't just yell, she Screamed; she didn't just breathe, she Lived.

Pat was truly one of a kind. Like many in her family, she never met a stranger. If she spoke with someone on the phone, chances were she left them with a story—and often a smile.

A visitation will be held on February 1, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77065. A Funeral Mass will be held on February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, located at 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056. Interment will follow in Waller, Texas.

Pat will be remembered for her humor, her love of people, her loyalty, and the way she never met a stranger. She will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
