Patricia Jean Pike Michel was born March 6, 1934 in Houston, Texas. Patricia was 'Pat' to family and friends. Pat's parents were George Thurman Pike and wife Johnnie Lucille Clifton. Pat died at the age of 91 on January 21, 2026 in Tomball, Texas.

Patricia was a 1952 graduate of John H. Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. She came to Tomball, Texas and worked for T-T Construction Company, Inc. as secretary for Truman Thomas 'Denny' Moore. Shortly thereafter, she met and married the love of her life and soulmate, Maurice Charles Michel on October 30, 1954. They had two daughters, Maurine and Carla. They built a home on the family farm in the Decker Prairie community adjoining Spring Creek. Maurice preceded her in death on December 4, 1996.

Pat worked as a substitute secretary for Earle D. Oldham principal of Tomball Elementary and of Tomball Intermediate School. After their daughters left for college, Pat then worked for Attorney John L. Buvens in Tomball as his secretary. Pat always said that she had three great bosses that became lifelong friends.

Pat was a good seamstress, making clothes for the girls. She made their costumes when they competed in baton twirling and when they were feature twirlers for the Tomball High School band.

During Hurricane Katrina, Pat volunteered and worked 51 total hours at the Command Center at the Tomball Fire Station. She said that was an experience of a lifetime, helping people who had lost everything, including family members.

Pat was always interested in genealogy. She traced her lineage, as well as Maurice's lineage. Pat was a Charter Member Recording Secretary of Spring Creek County Historical Association in Tomball, a Charter Member of the Cross Trails Chapter, Colonial Dames of the XVII Century; Charter Member of the Heritage Trails Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and current member of the Joanna Troutman Chapter; Charter Member and President in 1993-1995 of the New Kentucky Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas; and Charter Member and organizing officer of the Spring Creek Powder Mill Chapter and later a member and Treasurer of Thomas Jefferson Stubbs Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Pat is survived by her children, Maurine Day and her husband, Galen, and Carla Jones and her husband, Bob. Pat's grandchildren are Lauren Jones Kirchner and her husband, Eric; Evan Jones and his wife, Courtney; and Kristen Jones Hartsfield and her husband, Scott. Her seven great grandchildren are Jack Kirchner, Owen Kirchner, Levi Jones, Olivia Jones, Jane Hartsfield, Violet Hartsfield, and Nathan Hartsfield. Pat is also survived by her brother, John Henry Pike and wife Brenda, and sister, Bennie L. Dulaney Liere, and her nephews and nieces.
