Patricia Elizabeth Mercado was born on June 15, 1966, and passed on May 18, 2023.

She was a woman who faced life's hardships with a beautiful smile and a strong laugh. Patricia knew life could knock you down but the important part was getting back up. She was proud of where she came from and proud of who she was. She kept her values of family, unity, and selflessness regardless of the situation or obstacles. While some may not have considered her to have accomplished a lot those close to her know that her accomplishments weren't tangible in the traditional sense. She created a network and community of people who may have never met or communicated at all without her. She created a family with a sense of love and unity that many dream of. Most importantly, she helped touch the hearts and souls of every person in need she ever met. She was never perfect, but she was compassionate, kind, and loving to all who crossed her path. Her absence will be visible and missed greatly always, but her memory and love will always live on.

Fue una mujer que enfrentó las adversidades de la vida con una hermosa sonrisa y una carcajada fuerte. Patricia sabía que la vida podía derribarte, pero lo importante era volver a levantarse. Estaba orgullosa de dónde venía y orgullosa de quién era. Mantuvo sus valores de familia, unidad y desinterés sin importar la situación ni los obstáculos. Si bien es posible que algunos no hayan considerado que ella haya logrado mucho, quienes están cerca de ella saben que sus logros no fueron tangibles en el sentido tradicional. Creó una red y una comunidad de personas que tal vez nunca se hubieran conocido o comunicado sin ella. Creó una familia con un sentido de amor y unidad con el que muchos sueñan. Lo más importante, ayudó a tocar los corazones y las almas de todas las personas necesitadas que conoció. Nunca fue perfecta, pero era compasiva, amable y amorosa con todos los que se cruzaban en su camino. Su ausencia será visible y extrañada mucho siempre, pero su memoria y amor siempre vivirán.
