Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Hedden, was a mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. A strong, independent woman. Smart, successful, confident, caring, dependable, kind, fun and loving. A true beauty, inside and out. With an outgoing personality, she was friendly and talkative to almost everyone she came across. Her smile was big and bright and her heart was big and full of love. Pat's signature look was brunette hair, a bold lipstick, with brains and beauty to match! Pat was born in Houston, Texas, to parents Harry Frank Lero Sr. and Bessie Ann Lero (Kamencak). She had four siblings: two sisters, Rose Marie Wood and Margaret Lynn Eyster, and two brothers, Michael John and Harry Frank Jr. She had three remarkable children whom she loved very much: David John (aka Mom's favorite **editor's note: David objects to this characterization :)), Kelli Lynette (aka Queenie) and Austin Patrick (aka Lil Pumpkin). She had five amazing grandchildren, whom she adored. In order of birth: Christine Michelle(aka TinTin), Hunter Ryan, John Michael, Isabella Ann, (aka Izzy)(middle name Ann after her Grandma Pat), and her newest grandchild: Levi Kenneth. Pat was married to Kirk Hedden, whom she loved very much. In Pat's final years, Kirk was her caregiver 24/7. This allowed Pat to live out her final days at home, as was her wish. Patricia was a hardworking and dedicated career woman. She worked for the Federal government for over 30 years. She was also a dedicated mom and wife who loved to come home and make a delicious homemade meal for her family. We really enjoyed all of Pat's cooking. Some of our favorites were her Shepard's pie, fried pork chops, skillet potatoes, and deviled eggs, to name a few.  It always tasted so yummy!

Patricia's hobbies and things she enjoyed were spending time with her kids and grandkids, talking on the phone to her friends, weekend garage sales, playing dominoes, Uno games with the family, playing bingo with her friends, singing in the car, going out to eat, dancing at The HOP, and casino trips to Louisiana to play slot machines.

Patricia loved all of her friends., some of whom she knew since childhood or school days, like Frank Bulin, Linda Albrecht (Mock), Linda Grudziecki Higgs, Cynthia Williams, and Alan Workman. Pat's work colleagues also became her lifelong friends, like Lucia Pan, Marian Singer, Jay Love, and Cherie Walters, to name but a few. Our Mom was a true golden girl, a true pal and confidant. Thank you to all of Pat's friends for staying true all these years. She was truly blessed and grateful to have friends like you.

We will always love you Mom,

David, Kelli, and Austin
