PATRICIA FEATHERBY JONES passed away September 20, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK, on July 30, 1929. Patricia grew up with parents Paul and Bessie Featherby in what was the first and largest of the New Deal planned communities of Greenbelt, MD. Her early career was marked by days at the Pentagon while subsequent years were spent as an executive secretary at both Shell Oil Company in Houston, TX, and Marathon Oil Company in Denver, CO.

Patricia was active in the United Methodist Church and served in a variety of roles including membership chairman, women's circle leader, and proud member of the wedding reception and reading program committees.  Patricia's husband Sam J. Kent passed away after 19 years of marriage, and in 1993 Patricia found happiness again by marrying Morris Wayman Jones. The pair spent their golden years traveling internationally and participating in Houston community activities.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Dr. Marsha Blasingame of Seattle, WA, and her granddaughters, Alicia Blasingame and Dana Blasingame, both of Los Angeles, CA. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9 at Klein Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 16131 Champion Forest Drive in Klein, TX. Internment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Houston, TX.
