Patricia H. Douglas of Magnolia, TX, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, at the age of 80.

Pat was born to parents Charles and Nettie Hartwell on July 13, 1943, in DeQuincy, LA. She graduated from DeQuincy High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University.

Pat married George Douglas in 1965, and the couple had two children. In addition to spending time with family, Pat loved to travel and could often be found immersed in a good book.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Stephanie L. Green, and son-in-law, Bill; her son, George H. Douglas, and daughter-in-law, Becky; two grandchildren, Ashley and Will; great-grandson Jordan, and her sister, Myra Kingrey; and brother-in-law, Donald. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral arrangements are pending. In this time of loss, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Your contributions will help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's and dementia care, support, and research to end this long goodbye.
