The funeral and celebration of Pastor Quinn's life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Living Word Lutheran Church, The Woodlands. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral, beginning at 2 p.m. A meal will be optional for all guests following the service. There will be no public burial.

Pastor Daniel B. Quinn was born, July 21, 1956 in Streator, IL. He was the son of Elvin and Marilyn (Dzuris) Quinn. He married Melony Greenman on December 29, 1979 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Melony Quinn; his mother, Marilyn Quinn; a sister, Ruth (Mike) Lechner; a brother, Dave (Connie) Quinn; sons, Timothy (Jessica) Quinn and Zachary Quinn; daughters, Erin (Dustin) Mrozinski, Katie Quinn, and Laura Quinn; grandchildren, Bailey Quinn, Carson Mrozinski, and Kenzie Mrozinski.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Quinn.

Dan was baptized, confirmed, married, and ordained at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Streator, IL. Baptized August 12, 1956 and confirmed March 30, 1969. Dan graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska, with a double major in Christian Education and in Biology in 1981. Graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis with his first masters in Lutheran Ministry in 1990. Ordained June 24, 1990. Graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis with his second masters in Sacred Theology in 1998.

Pastor Dan Quinn served as a Lutheran minister for over 30 years touching the lives of 7 different congregations in 7 different states. Dan resided in The Woodlands, TX March of 2012 where he served Living Word Lutheran Church for 7.5 years.

Dan was first diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid cancer April of 2017. After a long 2.5 year battle with cancer, October 9, 2019 God called His child home. Pastor Dan Quinn will always be remembered as a kind, calm, and Godly man. Always putting the needs of others before his own. He was a loving husband, father, and friend.

Though we mourn his death, we also celebrate his entry into the kingdom of heaven. Pastor Daniel B. Quinn will always be held close in our hearts. Until we meet again.
