Pamela (Pam) J. Novak, 64 of Houston passed away August 1, 2019 in her home surrounded by family. Pam was born Pamela Jane Lewis, April 10, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Her family moved to Texas in 1967 where she attended Jane Long Jr. High and Robert E. Lee High School. Thereafter, she had a lifetime career in the mortgage industry. Over the years, Pam went from underwriter to Chief Credit Officer; her most notable accomplishment was her extensive wealth of knowledge and her ability to mentor her colleagues.
A loving mother and wife, Pam was a remarkable woman who enjoyed traveling, engaging in social activities with family and friends, going to the movies, and simple things like preparing special meals for family over the holidays. She was a long time member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was married in 1986. She sang in the choir, attended/taught in the Women's Sunday school class and served in various ministries.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years Theodore J. Novak II. Children Christopher Paul Ponthier, Jason Dean Burns (Shielo Cruz), and Stephanie Priscilla Novak. Grandchildren, Haley, Karim, Karishma Alisha, and Rudy. Daughter-in-law, Tiffany Burns. Brothers, Paul (Mary Sue) Lewis, Ray Lewis, Joel (Cathy) Lewis and Pam's many nieces and nephews. Pam is preceded by her parents Gene and Jane Lewis. Her greatest joy was her family.
