?Otis Allen Wernecke, 84, of Tomball, born April 17, 1933, to Julius and Lydia Wernecke in Hufsmith, TX, passed away January 28, 2018, in Tomball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Wernecke, and his daughter, Lisa Bolt.
Otis dropped out of school by the sixth grade so he could work to support his family, something he did for the rest of his life, and without completing his education. He loved to dance and met his wife, Delores, on the dance floor. They were married six months later.
He is survived by his daughter, Kay Fountain and husband Chuck; three granddaughters, Jordan Olvera and husband Leroy, Meagan Sandlin and husband Lee, and Whitney Weatherford and husband Jason; two great-grandchildren, Holden Christian Olvera and Lillian Jonika; son-in-law, Bill Bolt; a sister-in-law, Clarissa Stehlik; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Christopher Hull officiating. A graveside committal service will take place at 12 p.m. Thursday at Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Humble.
