Othie Maye Wright Hildebrand was born to James Delton and Imogene Williams Wright on February 15, 1943, in Waco, GA, at her grandmother's home. She met her Lord & Savior on March, 16, 2020, in Houston, TX.
She spent her childhood on the farm in Tallapoosa, GA, surrounded by a large extended family. She attended Jacksonville State University as a Home Economics Major. On August 17, 1962, she married her former husband, Jim Hildebrand, Sr., and they had two children, Deana & Jimmy. Othie was a homemaker for many years which gave her the opportunity to be a homeroom mom, team mom, Sunday School teacher, and hold many other volunteer positions. Once the kids were older she worked as an account representative for Joske's, Eagle Logistics & CEVA, as well as many years as the Food Service Director for Champion Forest Baptist Church. She was active in her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives and could often be found at a ball game, concert, dance recital, or swim meet. In her later years she worked for Walmart & Costco as a food demonstrator passing out their samples and enjoyed meeting new people. She spent her spare time scrapbooking, crafting, or baking cakes through her company, "All Occasion Cakes & Catering". If you could draw it or explain it to her - she could create it as a cake!
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Lane Stricklin. She is survived by her daughter, Deana Stricklin; her son, Jim Hildebrand, Jr. (Irma); four grandchildren, Jayme Hildebrand, Jessica Green (Chase), Taylor Stricklin, and Avery Stricklin; five great-grandchildren, Brayden & Brycen Wawrykow and Ryan, Austin & Cooper Green; one sister, Janice Jones (Paul); as well as a nephew, Chris Jones (Susan); niece, Paula Schartle (Shane); and many other family & friends.
