OLGA MARIA HELDRING

March 4, 1964 – December 20, 2020

Olga was a beloved mother, daughter and sister. Born on March 7 ^th , 1964 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to Johan and Apolonia Heldring, she moved with the family to Houston, Texas in 1974.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, Texas and always had a life-long passion for biology and the sciences.  She had a varied career which started in the sciences as a Lab Technician and then spent 15 years as a technical communications consultant for the IT and oil and gas industries.

Olga is survived by her son, Willem Alexander Heldring and his fiancé Sheale Tanner; mother Pauline Heldring, brother, Jacob Willem Heldring and his wife Natasha, sister, Helene Heldring-Hamman and her husband Dave, sister-in-law Mary Cooke-Heldring, mother-in-law Mary Ann Novakosky, sister-in-law Angie Novakosky and brother-in-law Bobby Novakosky and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.  Olga was preceded in death by her husband Mark Allen Novakosky, her brother Alexander Louis Heldring, and her father Johan Willem Heldring.

She was greatly affected by the loss of her father, Johan Willem in 2012 and her greatest joy in life was her son Willem Alexander whom she loved deeply and beyond measure.

She died peacefully on the 20 ^th of December. The family wishes to thank the staff at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital for their compassionate care and to all the friends and family who have been so supportive over the years. A deeply spiritual person, Olga now rests in peace and we will miss her.
