Norman Keith Whitehouse, age 86, formerly of The Woodlands, TX passed away December 19, 2020. Mr. Whitehouse, known as Norm or "Salty" to some, was born in Augusta, Maine and graduated from Penn State University in 1956. He was a member of the Sigma Epsilon Fraternity.
Norm joined the Navy in 1956 and served for 4 years. After his service, he began his career in computer software sales, working for various companies, most notably a long tenure with IBM. He lived in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Spring, TX, and The Woodlands, TX.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Judy Whitehouse and his second wife, Danna Whitehouse. Also by his father Theodore Whitehouse, his loving mother Ruth Whitehouse, his sisters Marjorie Peterson and Frances Weir and his brothers Theodore (Bo) Whitehouse and Eugene (Gene) Whitehouse.  He is survived by his daughters Pam Whitehouse and Amy Whitehouse, their spouses Stephen Light and Don Friesen, his grandchildren Malcolm Light and Dani Friesen and countless friends.

He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, the Astros and the Penn State Nittany Lions. For better or worse, he was a season ticket holder for the Houston Oilers and the Houston Texans for many many years.  He loved: dogs, Willie Nelson, clever lyrics, live music, Yogi Berra sayings, a good joke, a bad joke, bouncy piano music, watching sports, reading detective novels, watching movies, WWII history, travel, bird watching, apple pie with cheese melted on top, green olives stuffed with blue cheese, peanut butter and cheese sandwiches and well, cheese.  He was a good dad, the kind that volunteered as assistant coach for our softball and soccer teams, spent hours throwing us in the pool, made us big breakfasts on the weekends, taught us how to ride a bike and drive a car and never missed an opportunity to tease us about something. Overall he was a positive guy and was known to give out good advice. His friends remember him as always being upbeat with a sharp wit and good sense of humor. We will miss him very much.

Our dad left these words, "I am proud to be an American and so thankful to have been born here in this wonderful country with it's so many freedoms. May God bless America."

The family will be holding a small, socially distanced, outdoor, graveside service on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:00pm at Klein Memorial Park Spring-Klein, 9714 FM 2920 Tomball, TX 77375. Norm will be buried next to his wife Danna, whom he was married to for just 10 short years.  If attending the service, please come wearing a face mask.
